Mission Statement
Wasatch Theatre Company produces timely, relevant, and entertaining theatre by supporting diverse artists and providing opportunities for unique voices to stimulate conversation, increase empathy, and empower positive social change
Vision Statement
We envision a kinder, gentler theatre community that is diverse and inclusive, in which WTC is a leader in connecting fellow theatre groups and artists to opportunities. We envision our theatre organization as consistently using our art to transform the larger community and the world into a more equitable, socially just, place.
Core Values
Diversity and Representation – we believe in diversity and representation in our choices of plays, playwrights, casting, and leadership.
Engagement – as a community-based organization, we believe in developing artistic programming that engages the community in the potential for social change and action.
Empathy – we believe in sponsoring artistic programming that promotes the development of empathy across racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, gender, age, religion, and disability identities (not an all-inclusive list).
Empowerment – we believe in the potential of theatre to empower participants and spectators to make a positive difference in the world.
